PEN Y GOGARTH & LLANDUDNO, CONWAY, 2025
Inspired by my own wandering through wildlife, this collection showcases some of my favourite rural hotspots. Choose a landscape for your next adventure or relive the ramble by picking your favourite destination.
Each print contains the exact coordinates of the place of origin, so you can visit the spot where the initial sketches were made.

Host to both a tramway and aerial cable car, Pen Y Gogarth towers 207 meters above Llandudno. Before Llandudno became a popular Victorian seaside resort, the area was known as Gogarth and was primarily associated with the Manor of Gogarth, established in 1284 for the Bishop of Bangor, hence the welsh name meaning Head of Gogarth. More popularly known as Great Orme which is said to derive from Old Norse, meaning "sea serpent" or "worm”, rising from the sea.
The peninsula is particularly noted for its limestone pavements and herd of wild goats. The goats originally being a gift to Lord Mostyn from Queen Victoria, though they have roamed in a wild state for about 100 years.
This scene takes in the view of Llandudno from the eastern edge of the headland. Looking south-east and back in on itself to appreciate both the wild, rugged limestone and the famous Llandudno pier.
