MEMORIES OF MANCHESTER

A social workshop event to connect people and uncover the hidden stories of our beautiful city of Manchester.

Singers, knitters, writers, readers. Artists, lawyers, students, teachers. Older or younger. New arrivals and long-established Mancunians; gathered together sharing passions, discovering new ones and connecting with each other.

Participants were led in a bespoke workshop of storytelling, crafting, writing and making designed to uncover and share their memories linked to areas of the city, their memories being displayed on a 3D city map. Mark curated a series of speakers from different social groups to present talks of social activities within and around Manchester including a guest performance from The Sunday Boys Choir.
