Shining Tor is the highest hill in Cheshire, England with the summit reaching a maximum elevation of 559m above sea level.  Directly north of this hill is Cats Tor with Errwood reservoir lying slightly east of that.
 
This scene depicts the edge of Shining Tor facing south west across Macclesfield Forest with Shutlingsloe Hill depicted in the left of the image.
